Hi,

I just downloaded latest version (445) from its web site to try after reading a very good comment about it :

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5775362&postcount=86

I have a dummy USB controller (Fujitsu-Siemens GameBird) and it was easy to calibrate it in Clearview. I have no problem with Reflex XTR with this PC (1gb ram, 128mb screen card etc.). But refresh rate is so low with Clearview. Its something like 1 per second. It is not possible to control plane with it. My controller's signals are reaching to PC after 4-5 seconds. Its so slow.

First I checked everything to higher the performanse of PC, removed unnecessary programs from Windows Task Manager, reduced the resolution and color depth. Turned off-on and checked everything again. No difference. It got better little bit after reducing Physic to 90% but still its not enough. Its demo (Shock Flier) shows 7fps but I am not sure if it is really 7fps because it is different than Reflex XTR's 7fps.

After I close Clearview, I can start and use Reflex XTR without any problem.

Any idea ?

And after couple of trials, it started to popup a window (Trial Period Ended etc etc), is it normal ??? It is already a limited function demo software and is it normal to end the trial period after 1 hour ?

You should get the same FPS in ClearView. You need to download and install the latest video driver. For NVidia video card, switch antialiasing to off.

I tried Reflex and ClearView on my configuration (Atlon 3800+ and ATI Radeon 800 XL) and I get these FPS:
Reflex with Rapor30V2 - 70 FPS (193 with v-synch off)
ClearView with Raptor 60 - 142 FPS
ClearView with Raptor 60, 90% sim settings - 222 FPS

The trial period is one hour flight time. It should be enough to make informed decision. In your case looks like you have some video card/driver issues. If you contact me at 123support@rcflightsim.com (remove 123) I will help.

You should get the same FPS as in Reflex. If your video card is ATI, you need to download the latest video driver. For NVidia video card, switch antialiasing to off. The trial period is one hour. Many simulators have no trial period so 1 hour looks normal to me.

Thanks for reply. I think I did everything I can but its still same. Actually I am sorry for it because I need second sim for my PC at work. I normally use Reflex XTR at home and want a little cheaper one for the work.

Later, I will install Clearview to another PC with nearly same configuration to see if its different.

Ok, maybe somehow I can find the problem.

Again, thanks for the help.

Please tell me what is your video, what is Reflex FPS on Raptor30 and what is ClearView FPS on Raptor 60.

Thanks,

In 4.46, how can I modify (lower) the tail movement vs. pitch?

In the 4.46 when I pull full pitch, the tail is not only swinging but keeps a constant angle error (about 15° at the T-Rex) - none of my real helis do that. Besides, swinging is much less in my real helis too.

Another feature is the servo overshot and swinging. I dont think a real servo do so much overshot and swinging. I just disabled this feature picking the direct servo control.

To eliminate tail swinging when applying full pitch, lower this parameter:
torkRotCoef 1.0

I think the 3 pole servos are not that precise in real life as well. The servo arm is short and you can't see it swing, Try adding a longer arm and will see it. You can pick coreless servos for less swing, or direct control (as you allready did). The servo selection helps feel the role of good servos.

Thanks,
