I need the wiring diagram for my xtr dongle, I have a hi- tec eclipes 7 tx. I bought the dongle with my copy of xtr. However my trusty dog Flash found it very tasty. I need to get a plug for the controller end, usb end is fine. Does anyone have the wiring diagram or a link to it? I googled it but all I got was one for other brands, Jr and one other but no hi-tec. Can I use a buddy cord plug or can I just buy the plug at radio shack?
Who came up with the word dongle? When I say my dog chewed my dongle. I not only get wierd looks. They all move away from me and well if you have talked about yours in front of friends or guest's, you understand.
Thank you for your time

Do you have a continuity tester? If so, you can check the wires by color with the contacts on the TX end and that will allow you to draw up your own connection diagram for the new plug. I feel your pain. Had to go through the same stuff with a digital camera cable when the dog chewed it. I don't have the dog any more. My sister adopted it. ;)

You guys should get different pets, like say a worm or spider... some how I can't see the statement "my pet worm ate my XTR Dongle" appearing on this forum, and I bet it won't be covered by Wolfgangs warranty ;)

Thank you, Tell me if i read this right? Jump the two right pins red goes to ? and ground goes to side of plug? that diagram isn't clear on wire color. I am not an electrician, I have a multi meter but lack the know how to test continuity. I need a paint by numbers version. lol, No I appreciate everyones patience and thank you for your help. Does radio shack have this plug? I don't want to spend 15 to 30 dollars on a buddy cord. Never mind I will look Im being lazy. Thanx: (icrashless when Im not in the air.)

Just connect the signal wire to pin 2 of the 6-pin DIN plug (you'll probably need a 270 degree plug where the pins form an arc of 270 degrees - these ahould be avialable from any electronic / electrical supplier such as Radio-Shack or Digi-key in the US or Maplin / RS in the UK) and then the shield of the DIN plug to the ground wire. - Its not critical to fit the jumper between the other two pins, try it without and see if it works first

The jumper on 4/5 cuts the HF unit so you won't face HF transmission and the batteries lasts longer. Just do it by puting a little solder spot to connect both.
