Thats what im gonna use, most of the military ones seem to be based aroung high AR glider wings

I am also using the same idea. the plane I brought from the following.

http://theworldmodels.com/para/products/airplanedetails.php?airplaneid=149

GPS is using Taiwan globalsat EM406 with excellent performance but buying from Australia. The accelerator and gyro also from there

For short distance, the communication also using the captioned products. ood enough for testing site

Camera is simple RCA output with a telecopic tube. I can't find this outside my place. so I am not sure whether you can buy

software using the MAtlab and Kalman filter to control. too complicate and may be we can exchange later

You may want to check out the RnR Products SB-XC sailplane (http://www.rnrproducts.com/). It is a great cross country glider that has a hugh payload section and can be easily adapted for electric power. Once up in the sky, the engine can be cycled on and off as necessary. This sailplane is probably a great starting platform for most UAVs. I've seen them fly (unpowered) and marveled at the efficiency of the wing. Cost and size (14 ft wingspan) is not small, but it is very durable.
