Schedule of flying events
We will have plenty for everyone. Here is the established schedule for flying events. All should get plenty of air time.
The registration deadline for a free T-Shirt has been extended until July
15th.
This year's itinerary is the best we've ever offered. 4 days of premier
slope flying, an aero tow event, great BBQ and raffle at a park that's
perfect for electrics, a welcome social where you can get to know other
pilots, and an AMA sanctioned contest with hand-crafted trophies.
If you have never been to a Soar Utah event this is the one to attend.
Schedule of Events for Soar Utah 2006 (Labor Day Weekend)
Thursday (evening): Social gathering at the home of Erik Vogel - just a 15
minute drive from the Point of the Mountain in Sandy.
Friday (day): Pilot's choice: either slope flying on the top of Butterfield
Canyon or the aero tow event. Due to the distance between the events, it
may be difficult to attend both.
Friday (evening): Official registration and deep-fried turkey dinner on the
South Side of the Point.
Saturday (day): AMA sanctioned contest CD'ed by Tom Hoopes at the Point.
Mandatory radio impound for all pilots.
Saturday (evening): BBQ award dinner and raffle at Falcon Park in Sandy.
The park is perfect for electrics and 'park flyers.'
Sunday (day): Slope flying at the Point of the Mountain. Mandatory radio
impound for all pilots.
Monday (day): Slope flying on top of beautiful Francis Peak overlooking the
entire Salt Lake Valley. If you haven't been there - you won't want to miss
it.
Visit www.soarutah.org for details and to register. Register before July
15th and receive a free Soar Utah 2006 t-shirt with your registration.
