Hello dear members ,
I am laurenzo t from ostend belgium , and i am fleying for several years now ,
A while ago I have put a cam on my light electric and fuel plane's,
But the image's has only a range of a pour 100meters , and I can not find a lightweight amplifier for the cam antenna.
Do you know where I cane buy or plans to build a home made amplifier that wil transmit a long range ?.
I have seen on the internet a divice that indicate the hight , speed and exact position of the plane.
auto pilot included, and a verry good quality cam on great hight's
i wish to find a product that has a range of minimum 2 kilometers ?
for this range i know that my controler must be amlifide to.
And how much antennas do I need for the ful set ,
1 gps
1 controler must be amlifide
1 cammera
?
I would like to have a ful explination about the best product’s on the market for now .
Because range and hight is a must for me.
i hope realy that sombody cane put my on the right track to help me out further exploring the world of UAV's :)

There are pages upon pages of threads and thousands of replies in this forum discussing UAV's of all levels. You might pick a thread like this and start researching. It's all been explained many times. There is no one good system. The Search engine works pretty well.

In short their is no answer for you question.
But we can better help if you give an idea of how much you are willing to spend.
This is the first thing that needs to be set in stone as it will help you decide what is best for you.

the problem with wanting a turnkey solution at this point in time is that it is going to cost you a lot of money. Otherwise you have to do like the rest of us and put together a system yourself, which means a lot of learning. Yes it's confusing. You may want to pick a system and learn about that, cuts down the volume.

Yes, I apologize for sounding short. I know I did sound that way. :o It’s just that there has been a lot talked about over and over again. The question you asked is similar to asking, “I plan to learn to drive pretty soon, what is the best car to buy”? That would actually be an easier question to answer. There is a lot of “system integration” required for you to put a UAV together unless you do buy an off the shelf ready to fly system. That would set you back $10,000.00 as a start to get a full featured entry level UAV and very modest ground station.
The best thing is in the Predator, Global Hawk, Raptor, Hunter, Heron, Searcher, Helios etc. None of us can even touch those systems.
You first need to know what type of systems you want to have. Steering to GPS waypoints? Altitude lock or autonomous change of altitude while in flight to fly knap of the earth? Video link? Range required? What is you budget? What can you transport and afford to fly? It’s not a real easy answer.
Like I said, it would be easier to recommend a car. You have to have some direction and or goal to help you move along. It’s a task much bigger than just building and flying a model plane. But that is also something it would pay to be good at. ;)

Fly to London now. There is "UV Europe 2006" happening 13-14.7.
There are many companies, and you can see most alternatives at one trip.

Freepride, sorry about the lack of response to your e-mail regarding CropCam. I have checked out the address info@cropcam.com and it is working, though there is a chance the spam blocker on our server filtered your mail out. Try the address again, Jennifer Bell, one of our sales representatives will answer your questions.

Hello, Freepride! I have been getting incredible range with my 200mw, $32.00 dollar ebay cam. In fact today I flew an electric slow stick over 1/2 of a mile away, and out of visual range using my $99 dollar GVD-300-N virtual reality head mounted display. All you have to do is a little research on the net and build yourself a quality UAV for peanuts.
