Micro RS4 Gears wear quickly

I have a Micro RS4 and the gears have worn down pretty quickly. I've replaced the pinion after just a month or two.

I'm curious if this happens to everyone or just me?

yes ti happens pretty quickly. you can get metal pinions from hpi and orion
