ive recently been looking arround for a good relay, but for the circut im building i need a 1.5 volt relay and the only ones i can find are 12 volts. if there evan is such a thing, or if anyone knows how i could make a stepping up circut from 1.5 to 12 volts please tell me :) thanks

Are you switching AC or DC? What voltage and current will the contacts switch? The smallest relay coils I know about are 5Vdc....though smaller voltages may exist. Depending on your loads a standard opto can be turned on with 1.5V. and it can drive a 12V relay (you'll need 12V in your circuit somewhere of course).

I think there are some reed relays that go down sub 5v..some 5v relays may operate at 1.5v...a lot depends on the exact application though.

Line sensing relays, used by the telecoms industry. They are rated by operating current and most seem to be sub 15mA. The coil resistance is around 10 ohms. So, will operate as low as 0.15V. Don't know how much current you need to switch though.
