I prefer the K+S brass tube display at my local hobby shop. One of the several shops in my area also carries their stainless rod, makes decent shafting. I've used other bits of tube as bearings, but prefer to go to www.sdp-si.com to get flanged bronze bearings to suit.
5/32" shaft can be threaded M4, which is handy. 1/8" shaft takes an English #5 thread, found in some props. And a #10 thread can go on 3/16" shaft. It's easier to thread these shafts when held in a lathe chuck, but it can be done in a vise. And if you use dog-drive props (Octura), all you'll need to do is file some flats on the shafts.
Soldering oil fill tubes onto the stuffing tube is optional but nice.

There is a seller on ebay who often has the Raboesch products on auction. I have bought several items from him in the past including Raboesch propshaft/stuffing tube assemblies which are available in both bronze bushed and ball bearing versions. The best made. Try contacting him. His selled ID is: captnaj (http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZcaptnaj)
