My wife and I spent the day with our good friends who happen to have a 31' Bayliner and we all took a cruise around LA and LB harbor today. I shot a ton of pictures. Here a some of the better ones. A few of them were shot looking through the plastic windows of the Bimini enclosure and so they are a bit fuzzy looking.
Enjoy! :)

Yeah, I think that is Umi's.
I was wondering if "res149" was a converted WWII PT boat?

Looks like a little too much 'tumble home' toward the tramsom to be the usual PT, but I do think it must be military surplus- some kind of ex patrol or rescue boat- the Sea Scouts run one that appears to be identical to that one up here in Berkeley- I wonder if the Sea Scouts know what it is! (google!) :)
EDIT: Berkeley and the Sea Scouts! Uh-Oh!

Photo 49 "Sonar Queen" is a Sea Air Rescue boat of WWII vintage previously owned by my employer. You can still see on the main deck were the gun turrent/tub was located. It was used for about thirty years for Sonar testing and development until it was sold about 5 years ago. It is in sorry shape now when it was our boat we always had a full time crew keeping it in sea worthy condition and spiffy. To restore it to prime condition it needs new engines and some drydock time.
Thanks
Steve
