I'm an airplane guy, could really use some help from the boat guys. I'm trying to sell a few boats from an auction (result of an estate sale, the poor gentleman died in his 50's and his family was enlisting support from knowledgeable people). I picked them up and have them at my house if you need pictures to help me out here.

The first is a 54" boat with Dumas printed in the actual fiberglass. It has a 22.5 cc motor in it, prop, rudder, etc., as well as two Futaba servos. No cracks in the fiberglass. Paint on the hull (white) is just fine, paint on the upper (metallic green) is a little faded in places. Motor runs too, I brought it home and got it fired up just fine (pull start). Decals include "Wellcraft" and "Scarab". I'm sure that's obvious stuff to you guys, but this ain't my area!

Second boat is a "Tradewinds" sailboat, hull is 36", mast is 48". Looks to be in really good shape. The keel has a crack in it, but doesn't appear to affect functionality or structure. Sails are in good shape, no rips. Has a functioning 2-channel surface radio in it (Tower).

What would these two items be worth?

Thanks for your help.

How much do you want for the boat? I also don't really know what boats go for, I am just looking for a goof deal, b/c I am pretty tight on money right now.

That is in fact a Dumas 38 Scarab and they are highly sought after and worth pretty good money when alreay built up.

tradewind is very old. only worth maybee $125. depends on condition greatly (that price is high mind you)

the boat Could go for $500-$1000, but only $1000 if it has REAL nice running gear (prop, DD drive unit, CNC parts on the rudder etc.

hope that helps.

Not nearly as fancy as the fancied up one you showed, but it appears to be the same boat. The one I have is a full 54" from nose to stern, not including the running gear.

How much are you looking to get out of the scarab? I am looking for just the hull. I might be interested. Thanks

I'd like to get as much as possible for it, of course! I want to be fair. I'm sure it's worth more than $100 (since it has a running engine and two functioning servos), but it's probably not worth more than $300, so I'm looking to zero in between those numbers....
