Alberto, why not put a 9.6v and a speed 600 motor with a 50a esc, it will go just as fast as a gas boat due to light weight also many lakes dont allow ic power

Ciao Alberto,

I hope Ghost is pulling your leg, with his suggestion...

You can't power such a large hull with a 600 motor and expect it to run as a speedboat.

He's right about the fact you're not allowed to run petrol or nitro driven boats where ever you want, specially on lakes and canals.
Make sure you can run a petrol/nitro driven boat, before you break the piggy bank.

If you want to power a hull this size, electrically, you'll need at least a huge motor (brushed or brushless) and 20-30 cells.
With the speedcontroller and charger you'll need, this won't come cheap.

What material is the hull?
I can't see a hatch, does it have one?

For a hull this size you'll need a 25 cc petrol engine, such as a Homelite, Zenoah, Mathé , or whatever is available to you.

Make sure the hull is suitable, or can be made suitable.
Find a local club that runs petrol driven boats for some hands-on assistance on what to get.

Regards, Jan.

pompelad, my najade planes well on 8 cells with a 700, that looks a lot narrower and i suspect isnt carrying the weight of the najade

Right you are, but this Cigarette hull is much (much!) bigger and will crawl along as a tug with such limited power, it will barely plane, if ever.

There are very few hull this size, which are electric powered, the ones I know of, carry a small fortune in cells, esc(s) and motor(s).

Thanks everibody!!!
Sorry, but I was on holiday, the hull it's in fiberglass, and you have reason, there is not a hatch. In Italy it's very difficult to find someone to help me. What do you think about, it's suitable for g 260 zenoah in attachment or not???
Thank you for your job have a nice day
Alberto
