Hi!

In the hope of someone might be interested, I decided to post this info under the boating section of the forum because I am a boater myself and the box is therefore boating oriented.

I began working on this box sometime last year and I'm still working on it. It is a very slow process, but it's finally taking shape.

The whole field-box concept is built up around a 12V 20Ah gell-cell (weights about 12-13 pounds!) which I decided to put in the middle for good balance.

When finished, it will have two drawers for various tools and accessories, a modified 250W PC PSU, a holder for the PSU powercord, a place for my Triton charger as well as a cooling tube for fast batt charging, and a Tx holder.

Some of these features are already visible others are not. Check the gallery in the link below in case you're interested.

I welcome all oppinions, suggestions, or critiques :)

Thanks Kmot!

The basic idea was from GreatPlane's Ultra E-box, but mine is slightly bigger (longer) and has a different layout.
I used two kinds of ply, 4mm poplar for the covering and 5mm beech on both sides of the gel cell which also serve as the holder for the handle. I also used various cross-section pine rods for the frame. Everything is hand made using a jigsaw.
