I'm looking for suggestions for resources to give 1st year engineering students who are to design a simple electric-powered plane with a foam wing. I'd like them to design the airfoil, cut the wing, stabilizers, do the calcs for motor requirements, batteries, CG. etc. I've seen threads that address various parts of the design....Can anyone suggest some good comprehensive references that might serve as a guide for a project like this? Thanks in advance for any help.

I would have a look at the book sold by ASA names aerodynamics for naval aviatiors. Its a pretty cheap book and has a decent amount to AE theory. (very little math involved) If you want to get a book with more math, I can let you know, but the book is somewhere around $175.
