Wow those who didn't go you missed a great couple days. I was there
Saturday and Sunday. Sunday there was almost no one left, but Saturday was
packed! I put some pics up on my web site and board of some of the pics I
took. Take a peek if you get a chance.

yes it is. the charter is for people advertising parts wanted or for people
selling their own models meaning preowned. he may be a self employed
individual but its still a company. Not in the spirit of the charter at
all.

that where we differ in the interpretation of the charter it does not
mention preowned you have added that part, and as a newbie here it might be
better to not piss off to many of the group as you never know who could help
you next just my two pennies worth & don't bother in replying to this thread

I have yet to see any news group, even the market place one, that allows
company type selling or advertising. The point of individuals selling is
obvious especially with the addendum of parts wanted. If anything it is
parts wanted with the addendum of allowing for sale. Being an individual
not a company the obvious way to have something to sell is to already own
it.
As for pissing anyone off that would only be you as you are obviously taking
this far too personally. marking this thread as ignore is the playground
equivalent of na na ne na na, i'm not listening. and putting your fingers in
your ears. I also notice you don't use a real email address no doubt for
the same reason i don't and the rest of us don't and 'lacking in fortitude'
has nothing to do with it.
Neither of us has resorted to name calling and the argument here is less
personal than the lipo/balancer argument. I would suggest taking a deep
breath and re reading the whole thing more objectively.

Ok, so just for the arguments here, if I had put the exact address link to
the pictures would that have been considered a "Spam".
And again, this is not really a "business" or Big " business" the 2 items or
so that I offer for sale on my site through the store area are parts I made
myself and made extras to recoup the cost of materials, but to date I have
never actually sold anything on my web site. I have sold some items though
ebay.
My site is mostly a personal - hey check out what I'm doing site. Did you
look below the Hiboro event pics to see the other notes ect.
I am flattered you suppose it to be a corporate site but I since I've never
made a dime on the site I can't consider it at such. I've always offered to
host people's heli pics and movies for free and am really suprised how nasty
some of the newsgroups are these days. Can't we all just move forward to
better the hobby? I've noticed the lack of posts vs 2 and 3 years ago, but
the heli hobby specially electrics has been growing. Perhaps we need to get
them to use the newsgroups instead of the web based forums. Now there is a
worthy discussion.

yes it would. the professional look of the site, not going to the pics but
instead alot of sale stuff said spam. on the digital slr group i don't even
bother to click on 'hey check out my site' anymore.

When I saw the post accusing you of being a spammer I thought it was a close
call, but as you say if the link had gone straight to the pics that in my
eyes would have been no problem, in fact the reason I'm replying to this
thread is that most of the interesting sites I have found have been through
links from the news group, once I,ve looked at the pics I cant help being
nosy and having a look at the rest of the site anyway, i.e the site Beav has
carries a host of info that even marco may find of interest :-) :-)

Yes, I have a Dyna Mechtronics 3 axis cnc machine. That I run a Support
board
on my web site for too. Of course I got it in disrepair and cobbled it back
semi
working. I couldn't find any info on the unit at all on the Internet so I
made a board for it.
And of course I've been busy answering questions about it for free and
having
people get ticked off because they think I'm getting paid by Dyna or
something and not
giving them hours of hand holding. That might go away soon. I've been a
machinist
for over 12 or so years now and just love to make stuff for my heli's, much
better
when I crash and I've got a stash of parts to replace them with..
I'm planning on doing something with Aireal photography. I'm cobbling
something
up in balsa first then I'll cnc it out of thin aluminum. I don't like
Carbon Fiber,
no give just breakage, and milling the stuff is horible for your lungs.

I have to totally disagree with you there. I know 3 people know who have
that goofy Blade CX. They are totally happy with the helicopters and can't
wait to get
something bigger. After a month or so they were all asking what heli do I
get next!
Way better to get them to try something out like that and enjoy it then try
to pry $1200
out of them to get them to try it.

I couldn't remember what the goofy Frontpage had labled that exact page
which was my Latest News page. It actually is "members" for some reason.
It was lazyness on my part just to put the front page and I figured with the
bold lettering everyone wouldn't mind one more click to get to the pics.
Now who's going to IRCHA?!?!?!?

How much is one of those things?
i've seen a cnc all metal head for my walkera 22e for £78. The whole copter
only cost £90

What do you do, scan the hand made balsa to get the shape?
I don't like

It was recommended i don't get Carbon Fibre rotors cos that means something
else has to give along the drive train.

Why's that? I just agreed with you that people are getting nasty on

i started with a £35 heli. went to hobby shop. Told no swash plate.
researched and got a twister bell. now got a walkera 22E. smashed it in
seconds. Just ordered a walkera 4. All electric.
joined a club. got insurance.
all hobby shops i tried wanted me to go from twister bell to full blown 3d
belt drive etc. i'm not ready yet. The walkera crash confirmed it. They
don't make buddy boxes for nothing.

Well mine was only about $5000, they range in the small end up to $40,000
with the tool changer that mine has.

No, actually I'll get my dimensions for the mounting for the servo to
operate the camera
and such. Its way easier to cut balsa than aluminum. I can wittle here and
there to make it all
work, get the shutter to work and all. Where to mount the servo for the
tilt and
where to put the bearing for the tilt mech.
