One of the most recognizable designs of the homebuilt arena is the Spacewalker 2. Now you can take flight to the electrified skies like never before. With our exclusive NexGen ARF™ assembly, you won’t spend much time at the bench. Most modelers can go from box to field in as little as 1 hour.

This balsa and lite plywood model is expertly covered with UltraCote, and features preinstalled stabilizer, fin, rudder and elevator control surfaces with control horns and pushrods pre-installed, a two piece wing with ailerons and control horns installed, a painted ligthweight fiberglass cowl, molded cockpit with windscreens installed, and even a landing gear with wheels and painted fiberglass wheel pants installed. Just assemble the six parts, drop in an Outrunner brushless motor with controller, your favorite micro radio system and a 2-3 cell LiPo battery pack and head to the field.

Have you guys received your shipment of planes yet? how about the Ultimate?

Also can you describe or show pictures of the motor mount system your electric arfs use/ have.

Thanks, Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for your note. We did receive a recent shipment of airplanes from the factory including the Ultimate ARF. Unfortunately during our quality check, we discovered a couple of missing parts, and have held up the initial delivery. The parts are due in house this week, and once here we will ship all outstanding open orders for this model. I'm really sorry about the delay, but do not believe it is right to ship product that is not correct.

As for the motor mounting area of our electric models, we use a plywood motor box for all of the airplanes except the Mercury (a Class 400 motor screws directly onto the firewall of the Mercury). This plywood motor box allows the normal "X" mounting plate available for outrunner brushless motors to easily screw into place. I checked our image files and could not find a really good shot of this motor box (figures that I left my camera at home today), but I did find a heads-on shot from the Spacewalker 2 showing the motor box. I'll attach it here to help give you an idea of the concept.

Best regards,
Larry King
