Crystal Changes vs. Synthesizer
I have a couple of questions regarding the switching of frequencies. I have heard that you should not move more than one or two channels from the original crystal in the receiver. It seems that even within this guideline I lose some signal strength/integrity. (This is with a midrange name-brand FM radio) Question 1: What is the rule of thumb on crystal switching? and Question 2: What is the word on the Hitec/Novak Xxtra synthesizer? Has anyone used/tested this set-up and what is the signal strength/integrity though the channels? (O.K., that was more than two questions) I appreciate any thoughts/ideas and thank you in advance for your input...
