I was trying to learn a knife-edge spin, shoved both sticks in the upper left corner and got an upright flat spin! Tried it again, same result, upright flat spin with full down elevator. So I tried the opposite, sure enough, I got an inverted flat spin with full up elevator! It seems like it doesn't matter which way the elevator is, once the entry is right, it's locked in up or down. I'm no engineer and I'm still kid of new at this, but my guess is the rudder, stalled wing and prop blast are the overriding factors. Could someone give me an idea what's going on? Thanks a lot.

Speed has a major part in it doesn't it?

The problem is a too much fast yaw and wing stall at the same time which makes the plane pin-wheel (flat spin). Too much yaw can be adverse rudder or adverse aileron yaw or both. In the flat spin, half the wing flies trailing edge first (backwards).
