G'day

How can I know wich size of rear wing I can use if I have
a certain main wing exp: 48" wingspan how I know wich size should be the rear wing ?

Rear wing ? ? . . . . are you referring to the horizontal stab and elevators, or the rear-ward wing of a stagger-wing bipe?? I think you must be referring to the tailfins.
If so, the surface area should be at least 1/5 that of the wing.

YES I'm talking about the horizontal wing plus the tail,
so you said 1/5 of the size of the main wing?

It really depends on what type of plane. Pattern planes usually have much bigger tail-feathers than a trainer. But, as a rule of thumb, 1/5 to 1/4 will suffice.
