hi there

currently I'm working on the design of a VTOL UAV at the Universidad Polytecnica de Madrid and therefore I'm searching data of VTOl UAVs, especially concerning the rotor design (chord, profile, twist etc).

I googled for some weeks now and this information is very hard do find. I guess that Shepards unmanned vehicles handbook might help me but I cannot have it sent to my local library. (anyone have access to that book?)

Anyone know some good website with information about VTOL UAVs in the weight range of about 100..200 kg (MTOW) ?

thank you in advance...

I dont see any VTOLs that big in Shepards, most are heli's.

VTOL = verticol takeoff and landing , so i think helis are some kind of VTOL

so, do you know the book "unmanned vehicles handbook" ? if yes, let me know
- thank you

hello nautisch

Are u intrested in Engines or Electric Ducted Fans? search For EDFs thy r best to use rather to use motors(open rotor configuration). Or u can also use Engine configuration like Ducted Fan mounted on Piston Engine. u may use Gear for increasing Fan thrust. It depends on u what u want to chose
