The Collins Radio Company built a working model in the 50s followed by Dornier in the 70s. I understand the results were promising and the model was stable in flight. I suppose with mixing on modern radios, the result would be better. Those who are mathematically inclined may request for the articles and manuscripts by Dr Lippisch at
