I have purchased a small dc amp gauge from Radio Shacks. 20 amps max, but thats ok for my aircraft. At the back it has two terminal threads + and -
I need to make a wattmeter to check my motor amps I am using dean connectors.
Can anybody please suggest the best way to set this up for what I want?
Thanks

Assuming your meter doesn't require a shunt.
battery ESC
minus ___________________________________ black
Plus _______________ - METER + __________ red
volts multiplied by amps equals watts
watts divided by volts equals amps

If the battery is on the left, and the ESC is on the right, the plus and minus on the meter are backwards in the diagram shown above.
