Does anyone use an Airfoil Design Program when creating their projects. If so which one is the best?

I have used PROFILI, a free download air foil program.

Do a search here, you will find the link.

This is a link to a very nice free program (Profile) that allows you to change camber, thickness and add washout. Best used by folks wanting to cut foam cores, as it will create the image of the template as well as the airfoil.

It may be the best of the free airfoil plotting programs.

I have WingMaster 98 I am selling. Over 250 preset airfoils. and Unlimited make your own ones. Just tell it what you want, it draws it up! I really like it.

CompuFoil is the most popular, I believe, software for model airfoil layout, for both built-up and foam core designs. It's capability is impressive, and the demo version is free. At least try the demo before buying any other.

I like Winfoil from Malcom Hardy in Austrailia.

It does a super job of airfoil plotting, has the aerodynamic data and an airplane design wizard to help you size tails, estimate performance etc.

For about $40 it can't be beat IMHO.

Do a search on Winfoil.
