(edit: sorry - this thread should arrive in "xtwin mods II" - must have been to excited from . . . :o )

This xtwin "Sports" (new Eagle) ROGs like on rails - after two meters full throttle it blasts me with a superstraight takeoff like a real plane. Fast ideas are the best - played with a small toy car of my daughter, spinned the wheels - oh spinning very well - put the car on the scale - took the exacto - just some epp flakes - some glue - drying for 20 min - went on the deck - full throttle - swoosh :D :D :D . Sorry to my daughter - but I gave her a old cutty for exchange (without gear) - she "tortures" it through the garden :D :D :D . The two wheel axes make the "sports" real straight rolling, no turns or spins. The landing also - just a small bump - rolling for meters straight. Made another gram weight - not more. AUW 19gr. Recommended to all who never tried (me also today for the first time) it up to now. If you do not know: the "sports" flies imho from all xtwins I know most close to a real RC plane. This one ROGGed my day :) .

The xtwin sports is a regular plane of the new xtwin collection - its the new version of the "eagle" - the xtwin monoplane. Its everywhere available in german net shops for aprox 29 € . Type in google: " xtwin sports " . The wheels are from a 50 cent plastics car (from a thing called "Überraschungsei" (for small children) - its an egg , the coating is chocolade - inside is a small toy = here it was a car from which I took the wheels ). Thats all . . .

Good night in germany

relaxr I am just in the process of doing that with these kick ass hotwheels wheels. I found some nice 1930 models with big wheels and nice axles hehe. But I am afraid my sports still pwns me because I find it glides too well and I am still trying to figure out how to extend this Rx wire as I can't see it and am reluctant to cut it up.

This thing practically flys itself if lifted high enough, it ain't never coming down. :)

One of these little winners appeared at last Saturday's indoor bash at Nunthorpe (UK): very impressive indeed!! It was flown competently by an 11 year old!

Now where's that "DH Sea Hornet" plan??
