The San Antonio Prop Busters had their first official sport pylon race of their new "Skyraider" class racing today. A few years back we had a very successful series with injection molded foam cessnas. Those are no longer available but we found an adequate replacement in the World Model ARF - Skyraider.
We're following the newest AMA rules for sport pylon. They seem excessive for such slow planes but I think everyone is happier following AMA rules.

Ken and others from prop busters -
After beating up on you guys last weekend :D I felt obliged to give you a chance to redeem yourselves. SO...
I contacted our CLAMS group regarding the possibility of holding a similar event at our field at Canyon lake. They seem to like the idea and we are going to discuss it in depth tomorrow at the field.
Do you think your guys will attend a meet up at Canyon lake?
:)

This looks like a really fun club event. The slower speeds of this model will entice flyers that otherwise would be intimidated by anything else.
BTW, if you leave off the canopy they look quite like a Q500 racer. My Mach II (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4957343&postcount=142) is below for comparison.
