hi....i need some ideas for a sailplane caddy that i can make to take to the field....i bring a card table along when i fly and this would rest on the table.....need pics if you have any.......thanks

you're right...gene is my caddy :D ...LOL.....and brian is my assistant caddy.....we seem to have the same stable of airplanes too!!!.....gene's bubble dancer is complete and finished similar to mine.....only the colors are reversed.....they should look kewl together......

I use one I made from PVC. It can be configured all kinds of ways if you don't glue the supports permanently. I can carry 3+ planes with wings from the house to the car with one hand.

It came in real handy when going to contests... Easy to get the equipment into the hotel room. Fits in the back of the car and no hangar rash. The small bungy cords hold the fuselages secure but allow a little movement in case ya bump something.

I glued 1/2X1/2 balsa to the pipe as a cushion for the fuselages.

wow...great looking caddies....i really like the one xtc built.....xtc....do u have plans or drawings for it????.....i would be interested......i also have built a 4 plane caddy to transport the planes to the field........

the one xtc designed would work to assemble and work on the plane.....thanks for ur help guys...

sorry bob,no plans but you should be able to figure the design out buy the pics

i simply use a threades rod to pull the two end pcs together,pinching the wing rests

this designs saves using routers and cutting fancy holes etc

what i did was cut all the horizontal boards together as one so the lengths are almost exact ,,works great
