Since I announced the new flavor of SmartPropoPlus, the one that works with PPJoy, I received many thank-you messages (Which is why I take the trouble) and as many inquiries. It seems to me that the differences between the original SmartPropoPlus (version 2.3.2) and the are not clear. I will now try to clarify this.

Original SmartPropoPlus (version 2.3.2):
Designed for use with FMS only.
Starts automatically when you start FMS.
Stops automatically when you stop FMS.
Has nothing to do with PPJoy.

PPJoy SmartPropoPlus (version 3.0.1)
Generic - You can use your RC Transmitter (Tx) as a joystick with any software that requires a joystick. Including FMS.
PPJoy dependent - You need to install and properly configure PPJoy in order for SmartPropoPlus to take effect.
You need to start SmartPropoPlus manually (or keep it running) before you start your simulator.

Conclusion:
If you use only FMS - install the Original SmartPropoPlus.
If you use other simulators - install the PPJoy SmartPropoPlus.
Note:You may install both, as long as you do not install them in the same folder.

Great job. Thanks. I have got my TX working with SPP 2.3.2. Now I will to see if I can get my TX working with Real Flight G3 and SPP3.0.1.

Why not just plug your tx into the RFG3 box?

I agree, if you have RFG3 then you don't need SPP.
BTW - I re-arranged the site to reflect the differences between the two flavors. How it is now more straightforward.

No, not pirated. The Interlink box (RFG3) is busted. So thought I would try to use just the software with my TX.

Won't work. There's a PIC chip in the box that prevents RFn from running without the Interlink ox installed.

Hi,
Anybody have suggestions on how to use SPP 3.0.1 with AeroFly Pro? I want to avoid having to buy those expensive USB cables. I have AeroFLy Pro and I have installed PPJoy and SPP 3.0.1.
But I don't know how to get AeroFly to work with the cable. BTW, I have it working with FMS though.
Please help!!!!

AeroFly Pro, just like G3 or Reflex, relies on its "dongle" for hardware-based copy protection. You can only use hardware- or software-based interfaces as secondary controls for AFPD, while the dongle is connected too:
