I have a futaba gold series radio. One of the pots is bad and I'm going replace it. I have another gold series radio on standby for parts. Does anyone have the calibration procedure for this radio once the pot is replaced?
Thanks,

I would just plug a servo into a good channel, see how far it moves, and rotate the new put in its mountings till you see the same center and movement on it.
I veruy much doubt that the pots on a transmitter are calibrated at all. We don't require absolute stick-to-time accuracy..just sezero being more or less 1.5ms...
If you have a scope, you could pick up the channel output and adjust the pot to 1.5ms showing on the receiver output.

adjust the pot so that the servo on that channel doesn't jump back and forth when you play with the reversing switch.

Vintage1 / Zagnut,
THank you both for your replies. Between the two methods I'm sure I'll be able to get it fixed up.
Either of you know of a good source for the switches on the radio? The three position switch has lost it's "detent hold". It easily flops from position to position.
Thanks again,
-Rocko
