RCAP2 (2.5?) question regarding throttle

I hope to be adding an RCAP 2.5 to my SS as soon as they are released. However, I have a question regarding throttle. I wll need to use a failsafe receiver with the RCAP correct? Assuming that it was flown out of radio range.

Just thought I would ask before I go off half cocked.

Either a failsafe Rx, or an external device that provided the feature, would be a good thing to add to the throttle servo channel. Better yet would be the altitude hold feature that is being bounced around on the forum. That would require coordinated elevator and throttle from a magic box.
