Slowstick on GWS floats - setup questions

For those of you who have successfully set up your Slowsticks with GWS floats:

1. Did you use the stock gear wire for the front gear? (ie. just remove the wheels)

2. What did you use for the aft gear? How did you attach it to the plane?

Initially I used the standard landing gear to attach the front. Later I made a new landing gear with a little wider stance to give the SS more stability on the water. For the rear I used 1/16” music wire and bolted and glued it to a 1/16” plywood plate. This was held to the fuselage using a high strength Velcro like material I bought at Radio Shack. This stuff is so strong I use it to attach a camera to the Slow Stick.
