I am running a C50 15XL with a Hacker Acro 90 esc on 10s. I have been trying to find what settings everyone is running on the esc timings etc. I seem to have a slightly slow throttle response. I might just not be used to it. I thought I had maybe put the esc on a soft start but I checked using the programmer its on a hard start  . What sort of timing is eveyone using ?

Are you using the Hacker Programmer or counting Beeps?
I have the C50-14XL... so prob'ly similar settings...
I think typical timing is about 3 degrees.
Some use "Hard Start"... I use Soft or Medium Start... "HARD" start is pretty abrupt.. but others get away with that I think.... (Seems to me medium or soft is easier on a gear box)
I set my shut off voltage to 2.5 volts per cell... basically if I ever get to the voltage shut off... my batteries are dead.. but this is what I do....
I fly the plane for 3 minutes, recharge and note how much juice goes back in.
Then I fly for 5 minutes and repeat, I check how much juice goes back in.
THen I fly 7 minutes and check what went back into the batteries...
iterating this process, I then select a time for my transmitter timer that equals 80% of the batteries capacity...
example...
3 minutes, 1500 mah
5 minutes, 2500 mah
7 minutes, 3500 mah....
so from a 5300 pack, I can extrapolate that to 8 1/2 minutes with 20% reserve. (80% of 5300 = 4240 mah... @500 mah per minute, I get 8.5 minutes)
Many set the brake to function. Then they idle up before take off... maybe use the engine cut feature... apparently using the brake and idling up results in braking on down lines.. the brake not only stops the motor at full throttle down, but limits the rpms to what is commanded....
hope this helps!!
