LANCASTER AREA SOARING SOCIETY is holding a 2 day woody contest on aug.5-6. and we are located in lancaster,pa..and this contest is for all wood sailplanes that consist of built up wings and horz. stabs that do not have molded leading edges or foam. but the fuse can be of a molded type and any spar mods like adding carbon to the spar is ok.
on both days we are flying 2 classes ,one being open and the second being r.e.s. of 100" or less.and the formatt will be on the first day a ladder event. and on the second day we are going to do multi task events.all this is going to happen on the honor sys because you keep track of your flying and turn in the scores at the end of the day. but there is only one person per freq. so you can fly anytime you want and all you want.
