I've got an old futaba challenger transmitter i'd liek to make better use of, are there any details foe an easy to build v tail/delta mixer I can build in to the transmitter?

my electronics experience is a bit limited, I have no knowlege of
programming chips, so is it easily do-able?

thanks in advance

If your only interest in electronics is to make a mixer, I suggest you to buy a GWS mixers for US$10 on nearest hobby store.

If you want to make a mixer but plans to make other things in future, you can make or buy a PIC programmer, I have a easy to use and understand C code for a mixer that works pretty well.

I'm after something I can put in the transmitter rather than the receiver (which I assume is what the GWS ones are)......

Somewhere there is an OpAmp circuit published on RCG for this purpose but it only works with transmitters that use stick pots that work as potential dividers and not as part of the actual timing circuit.

Do a search for mixers and OpAmps.

To add a mixer to a transmitter, you need to capture the PPM signal, decode it, mix the channels, recode and return signal to RF part.

This is not a simple thing.

It is much simpler to add a 5gram external mixer to the receiver.

at ftp://ftp.rogueview.com/Radio_Control/Ace_RC/Transmitters/ you'll find all the schematics used for the various options in the old ace radios. why stop at mixing when you can have expo too?
