Built 5 Microscreams for $20 and they work great!
Kudos to Jimsky for a simple yet effective device!!!
However on my Blade CP the voltage is at 9.85 volts when the heli starts to loose power. On my first couple of tests I almost drilled my heli into the ground because the MS did not sound prior to the batt being drained.
Some bench testing showed the MS trigger with default components triggers at 9.05 volts. Right where it was designed too.
So I took off the MS and removed R1 and replaced with a 10k smd pot.
I set it for a trigger point of 9.9 volts and now I can actual land with plenty of time before the batt dies.
I did this to all my Microscreams.
I think it's actual worth the effort to upgrade it with the pot. since not all
batteries discharge the same. And now you will be able to set the trigger point to any voltage you want. (well almost any voltage) ;)
Now all my fly'n buds want one!
