Does anybody know whether a mini coaxial helicopter is more or less stable than a 4-rotors vehicle? What is the physical justification? Thank you

You could try the multi rotor forum but from what I can tell the coaxial is more stable due to it not relying on gyro's and servo's to be stable which have a small lag and so make it tend to sway.

hi
i agree with terry , a coaxial is a simpler machine with less to go wrong , and inherently more stable , dana :)

Being somone who has attempted to fly a 4 rotor without gyros I can say OHHH boy is a 4 rotor much less stable. Granted my weight distribution was very symetric and if I would have distributed it in the center below the motors considerably the pendulum affect would have made it better.
Granted I have never seen anyone build a 4 rotor using flybars for stability.
