Looking at the short trapezoid wings on the F-104 models. Has anyone built one and if so did the main wings include tip twist of a few degrees to counter tip stall? Just looks like a model with such short stubby wings would have oll and tip stall problems. Also wondering about the use of LE flaps to increase lift? Anyone had F-104 design, build and flight experience.

I am in the process of building a Century Jet F-104. It is a df kit and I am reto'ing over to a turbin. The wings have 2 deg of wash out in them and there not to scale. They are slightly larger and the airfoil is thicker.

I have have no idea of the flight performance at this time. I will post a few pics as I get close.

Thanks for the information on the wing washout. I'm building a 1/10 scale X-15 that has similar style of wings. Thinking about adding some washout on my second model. This model will retain the scale wing size. I plan to also try LE flaps to gain more lift. Does your F-104 model use LE flaps

No.

I should also add that the L.E. is really blunt. Not having a sharp LE helps to make a non critical airfoil.
