The wether just now got warm enough to break in my kid's revo 2.5,
(new P&S) and after a tank, the ez-start motor fried. Rather than
replace the entire ez-start, is there a motor that will fit in it, and
if so, which one? I eventually plan to swap out the engine for a tm523
or a tm323, , so it will need to be a fairly close replacement. I'm
also thinking about going to a pull starter, but considering how
crappy the one on my MGT 4.60 is, im a little hesitant. any
suggestions?

Traxxas list a part number 5278 ($15) for just the motor and pinion. If the
Revo is brand new, try giving Traxxas a call and ask them what you should
do. Personally if it is new they should replace it for free.

You could probably get the motor from your local hobby shop but the pinion
gear my be a problem.

Cheers

Thanks Richard, , ,It's fairly new, so I'll give them a call. Once I
took the unit apart and saw the gear wasn't setscrewed on but rather
shrink/press fit, , , I kinda figured it wouldn't be so easy.

I did take the motor apart, and it seems to be working OK now, even
though nothing was done to it really. . .I'm gonna give it a try
tomorrow. . ..

Thanks again. . .
