Still waiting for the Hacker C50L w/ 6.7:1 motor I sent back for exchange in Feburary.
Was told this 3 separate times by Chris Wheeler,(quote) "Unfortunately we are still about 2-3 weeks out on our Germany shipment which will include some C50- 10L 6.7:1's"
I called this week and was told by Chris, "the motor shipped on Monday".
I even paid the shipping & insurance.
The motor still has not arrived.
I even went to the post office, they were no help, since the lable I paid for is 3 months old, so the tracking number does,nt even work.
The motor should not take more than 4 days to get from Arizona to Nor Cal.
Priority Mail.
I am so dissapointed now, I do not know what to do. :(
Maybe I should just give up, and take in the booty, and just buy another motor, and claim the ($400) I insured the shipping for, but as you know dealing with the US Post Office, is as frustrating as dealing with Hacker Motors.

Mailman just came still no motor.
Hacker must have been just telling another story, that they mailed it Monday.

Dear Chris,
I apologize for the delay in shipping your motor. We were out of stock on most C50 Acro motors for an extended period of time due to a production error in Germany.
We shipped your motor on Wednesday April 26 through UPS, at our cost. As of this morning your motor is out for delivery today.
Again, we apologize for the delay. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Best Regards,

The package did arrive today UPS.
I guess there was some confusion on the shipping carier
Re Quote " I shipped out UPS on Wednesday".
I would have to say "Chris Wheeler is a good guy"
I was just getting frustrated with the long delay's.
The support on RcGroups is very good as well.
I see they were on top of the situation this morinig when I called.
Thank you very much Hacker Brushless. :D

I finished the Funtana project after a year of building.
All I can say is WOW! :D
This thing fly's like it is on rails, ZERO trim was required. :)
The next test will be the Hover, I will keep you up to date.

I have a c50 10l in a sig somethin extra , I am running 6s3p Thunder Turkey. Best prop so far is 17x8 apc E . One day I'd like to get a funtanna . I ran this rig on eagle tree recorder and found brief peaks of 65 amps and most of the time pulling 200-500 whatts .

At 65 amps and 6S you should be seeing well over 1000 watts peak.
Are those readings taken at full throttle?

Nice plane.
I also have a Funtana 40...still in a box after 2 years.
Also a C50 10L/6.7:1, and a 5s4p old school TP HD 8000.
Also a 17x8 APC prop.
Someday!.....Still too busy flying fast.

Here's mine. :)
I finally got to it this winter.
It hovers extremely well and has pleanty of power.
I'm sure this motor could take an 8s pack! :p

This motor will take a 10s and 90 amps!...What?!!...
Yep, it will...at least for 7 seconds with a 5 minute rest, and 2-3 seconds with a 2 minute rest.
Don't everybody get all excited yet though. I've only run this setup with one cycle of batteries. (10s 2070 Extremes). And I was being very, very careful not to overheat anything. Hence the long cool off periods between motor run bursts. (Full throttle at all times...on a spring loaded switch.)
It will be interesting to see how the batteries and motor hold up to this sort of use.
I plan to fly this for at least all Spring. Maybe even into Summer.

I strongly suggest you find a way to support the back of that motor... the Gyroscopic Precession from a 2 blade will fatigue that mount!
I believe HACKER has an aft support that goes right inot the mount!

Thanks! I'll be sure and note the problem and solution with that mount if I ever use it in an electric conversion again.
Fatigue huh?! I suppose a few mounts must have broken apart or cracked on some other people.
Thankfully, on my hotliner, it's mounted on nylon instead of alluminum.

Flew the 2.5 KW Hacker powered S14 again today.
Used up another cycle of batteries, and everything still seems OK.

We've been flying our C50-10 and 12 XL motors for several years with this type of mount that doesn't "support" the back of the motor. No problems, no fatigue, no loosening, flies straight and true.
