hello, i am trying to set-up my A-60 14L for a goldberg extra 330 conversion. i bench ran the hacker on 10 cells with a 20x12 MEJZLIK prop. i got 52amps with 1900watts data readings on my medusa meter. my question is i want to get the most power from this motor, as my model will be around 14# AUW. bigger prop? 12 cells?..... thanks, randy.

rjorois,
I suggest you go up in prop. You can run an APCE 22 X 12 or the APCE 22 X 12 wide. We have had excellent results with the APCE props.

I have a A60-16M and I have several flights with a APC "E" prop, a 22 x 10 and it seems to perform well... this is more then HACKER recommends, and I am at 3000 feet altitude. I max out at about 77 amps... so throttle management is important. I never need full power more then 8 seconds at a time....(More like 4 to 5 seconds or it is too far away!!)

Hi Rjarois.
I am also considering the A60-14L, can you tell me the Amp draw using the APCE 22x12 or the APCE 22x 12 Wide ?
Which 10S pack are you using ?
Do you know the amount of static thrust this produces ?
Many Thanks For Your Help.

hutt, i am using the 22x10 apc thin electric prop. as i can recall it peaks @73 amps static. my lipo packs are thunderpower 5300mah 6 cell prolite. i am running two in series, for 12 cells. as far as thrust, i never measured it, i can say it yanks a 17lb. model with more power than any nitro or gas engine. i have a video i posted of the hacker run up, the watt meter is hard to see, but it will give you an idea. if you have any other questions, feel free to pm me, as i dont check my old posts to much. peace, randy.
