VERY cheap gyro mouse

Hi all,

I saw some threads previusly on this forum talking about salvaging gyros from those wireless "air" mice. Those interested in salvaging gyros from sch mice might be interested in this:

Its a refurbished mouse, but I doubt this would have any effect on the performance and livability of the gyroscope(s) inside it, and at $9.95 after the mail-in rebate, the price is unbeatable.

That gyro looks a lot bigger in the mouse than next to the penny.

The gyro in the picture of the mouse is probably the Gyration MicroGyro 100. I bought one of these about a year ago. I didn't like the analog output and didn't want to build an opamp to get a good voltage range.

The data sheet looks like a later generation.

The MG100 is a cube about 1" per side. Here is the data sheet.
