That would be May 29th. Stay one more day after our Spring Sizzle (http://home.comcast.net/~mkroese3/) and enjoy a low key, no pressure, fun day of flying E-Sailplanes at a great TD site in mid-Maryland.

See the Flyer (http://www.soarcasa.org/Events/F5J_Flyer.pdf) and the Rules (http://www.soarcasa.org/Events/2004_f5jrules.pdf) .

just a purist question...

wouldn't this go under electric events?

Looking at the electric forums, the high performance catagory is the closest to where this might be appropriate, but the focus there is on hotliners, F5D and F5B. Since F5J is a soaring event I think it is appropriate to post the announcement here.

This "sailplanes" subgroup includes the category of "electric sailplanes", which is further the second most popular (in terms of # of threads) category, exceeded only by "slope" (and none of the rest even get very close!). So, the operative term is "relevance" not "benevolence"! This event announcement is right where it should be!
Good Lift! (however you may go find it)

Are LiPos allowed at this event?

Thanks,

So... of the 175 or so who looked how many think they'll come a fly with us?
In other words, how many sodas do I need to buy? :D
