I have a T-Maxx 2.5. I'm using it for bashing. I was wondering what some
common upgrades are to make it stronger. I'm not interested in spending a
fortune in the truck. As much as I'd like to go all aluminum it's not
pratical at this point.

Thanks

IF ( a big if ) I ever owned another T-Maxx here is all that I would do to
it..
RPM bulkhead braces..
Cooling head and CVEC pipe...
possibly CVD's/Universal Joints
That's it. Pretty much everything else is pointless.
There is ofcourse the RC "granted" common replacements...
High Torque MG Servos, rechargable Hump Pack,FailSafe system, 2 Stage Air
Filter

Golden Horizons Cooling head and an SMC RX Hump pack. Your engine will run
cooler with the head and the 5-cell rx pack will boost your servos power up.
As far as the aluminum goes dont worry about it, just get your self a roll
cage like the one from Cowboy Creations, it mounts with no chassis
modifications, and all you have to do is raise your body posts 2 holes front
and rear. Dont make your crashes too expensive if you use your T-Maxx.

I already have the hump packs. I built my own for less then $10 each. That
was the first thing I did with the truck before I ran it. I was looking at
the Cowboy Creations roll cage. It seems like it's a good product for the
price.

The main gripes people seem to have with Maxxs are bulkheads breaking and
the driveline failing. MIP CVDs are apparantly a good thing at the back,
the roller I picked up a bit ago has these, and i'm assured they rock.
Don't go all Alu, it's more hassle than it's worth, as you end up snapping
bit that weren't designed to give as the Alu arms and stuff haven't given.

If you have a hobby shop, they should have a newer t-maxx on display for
you to get an idea. Or else check out the the drill holes in this
