I'm trying to make a flexable pushrod, so far I've got the music-wire :)
What i need is something to run the wire through, something with a inner diamater of just larger then the wire, and something relativly flexable.
Any ideas?
I was thinking fuel tubing, but that wasn't stiff enough...
Thanks for the help/ideas.

Look at Sullivan gold-n-rod line of flexible pushrods..

Are those light enough for a 280 powered plane?
What kind of a radius will a Sullivan Micro Gold-N-Rod Wire 36" bend too and still work alright? I need it to make a 90 degree turn from a servo to the aileron.

You can buy commercial flexible pushrods from your local hobby store. These have a matched inner and outer and come in various sizes for different sized models. Make sure the outer cable is fixed for as much of its length as possible to reduce slop.

Greg, it sounds like you are looking for something to guide the music wire not a really flexable push rod , right ? Anyway try the plastic model sections or the railroad guys for extuded styrene plastic ( it comes in many shapes ). The stuff I use in my park flyers is .025 ID tubing on .022 wire or whatever it comes to in metric. I've never had to look online for it but I know the model railroad guys use a lot of it.

Try the tubing that is intended as a guide for antennas.
I also use it as a bearing tube in making gearboxes.
(no they are not as good as what is available commercially)

airdyn.com has tubing just for this application...I copied this from the site, hopefully the pic shows. I've used it and it works great...
Plastic "Spaghetti" Tubing 3-ft / $1
(more info coming soon)
Inside diameter is a little over .040"
.040" music wire or carbon rods slide freely inside the tubing when mounted in straight sections. If the tubing is installed in a wide curve such as for ailerons the diameter of the inner rod needs to be smaller - .030" or even .020" - depending on how tight you make the curve.
The tubing is NOT teflon, and therefore it can be CA'ed in place very easily
