Anyone have a strong opnion, either way, about the advantages or disadvantages of molded plastic covers over wing servo linkage?

Windtunnel tests have shown that four servo covers on an F3B model reduce the drag about 5%.

Another alternative is to use RAD's for internal linkages. These are expected to reduce the drag of an F3B model about 10%.

I just used some neat servo mounting frame / linkage covers on my new Excel Competition 2.
Installation:
- Glue frame into wing.
- Glue servo to the inside of the cover/linkage fairing.
- Attach cover to the mount with four screws.
Simple, isn't it. :) Jürgen

And that's how it looks installed.

I've seen them and they look nice. However, my servos are already installed.

Anyone know who carrys the thin plastic tape-on servo covers that can send them promptly? Hobby-Lobby has some (I have a set) but they have a raised area for the servo that I don't want.

Thanks,
dd.

I've got the type from PWT. I'm looking for molded ones that cover the linkage.

Hi Doc,
I'm not sure if these are what you want but have a look-see.

Click on "Accessories" and scroll down to the servo covers.
