I assume there is no way to mount the A60 using a radial mount like the A50 and lower models?

Mike,
You are correct. We do offer an Aluminum Mount for the A60 series. They are very similar to our C50 series mounts, but offer support for the rear of the motor with a bearing. They are $24.99 and are currently in stock.

Hi Kyna... I have 2 flights on the TV with the A60-16M. Unusual how quiet the motor is... really tells you how much noise the Prop and airframe make!!!
Here is a snap of the A60 Install on the TUNNEL VISION...
This setup weighs in at about 13 pounds with an ACRO 90 and Pro-Lite 10S4P x 5300 mah.
One can see and hear this motor run here.....

Thanks for the response Kyna.
I have the mount (and A60-18M) but the problem is that the nose is so narrow on my 2M pattern ship, I am not sure that it will fit. Being able to flip the motor around an mount it radial would alleviate that problem. However, I understand the effects of radial mounting this size motor.

I am thinking about tooling up a composite radial mount... do you have dimensions for the "Nose Ring" area of your plane???
I would like to integrate properly located in and out vents for cooling into
the molds....

Hey Mith,
This plane uses a firewall mount. It has a fiberglass 2 piece cowl (top and bottom config). No nose ring and the cowl wouldnt support a composite mount unfortunately.

I understand it would not support a nose ring... but how much space is available in the "Nose Ring" area of the cowl..... I am thinking something like the 3/4 CAD model I just threw together... but with better ventilation for cooling air....

Dear Mike,
I suggest you contact Cambria Tools the will be able to build you a custom motor mount, that might be narrow enough for your pattern plane.
