Julian,

Thank you for your interest in Hacker Brushless Motors. We anticipate the first shipment of A40's in about 30-45 days. The motors are still in development and testing stages in Germany.

I'm flying a LOGO10 Heli what is the best motor pinion combination to fly general to hard 3D ? To make this even more difficult I would still like to use 3700 NiMH batteries and 4S4P lipos ? Can you help ? I had forgot the NiMH are 12 cells .

Scott,

Currently the best system on a 4s setup would be the Hacker C50-13L with a 13t pinion. However, in about a month we will have our new A40 10 pole outrunner series available and these will be the latest technology. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Hi Kyna That's what motor I have now I haven't had a chance to fly it yet so you think it will be OK also on the 12 cell 3300Mah NiMH batteries if I use them for just basic hoovering and some circuits ?
Thanks Scott

Scott,

It will work on 12 cell NiMH batteries, it will just be a little heavier and slightly less voltage. You will be able to hover and do basic flight manuevers with no problems.

Kyna,

I am building the Condor Magic 2.9 and as yet have no motor for it. The recomended motor is an AXI 4120/14 but the diameter is somewhat larger than I would like it to be and am running in a problem with mounting the motor so it will not rub on the wiring.
see the link http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=477387
Have you got any idea of a Hacker brushless motor that would do the job without the mounting problem the AXI motor has?
Thanks for your time and effort.

Kyna I would like to Thank You for taking your time and answering my questions if you could be so kind as to answer one more : This A40 that is coming out I'm being told that it is the best replacement for the C50-L13 ? Is this true that the new A40 would be the motor I need to wait for and run on some 6S2Ps with a 13 tooth pinon on my logo 10 . Or was that incorrect? Like I said I just don't want to keep buying motors and would like some solid information . Thanks Scott

Scott,

I am in the office today. I do believe that the A40's would be a great alternative to the C50-13L set up. However, we are not sure of the batteries and pinion size as of yet. I will have more information for you in about 30 days when we have had time to do testing of the various combinations.

Bill,

Our current solution to your problem would be a B50-9S 6.7:1 on a 10 cell NiMH or 3S 4000mah Lipo. This motor system is an inside runner geared design, and will gaurantee excellent performance for your sailplane. This motor is much lighter than the AXI as well.

If you are set on using an outrunner the A40 could be a great option. It is only 41.7mm in diameter, where the AXI is 49mm. However, as I have said we are still 30-45 days away from releasing them.
