Hello to all, I have been making a new website up in my own time that should help other model boaters with their boats, ha ha.

www.modelfireboats.co.nr

http://images6.theimagehosting.com/web-ad2.gif

www.modelfireboats.co.nr

I have created a picture gallery where you can submit your pictures and have them published on the net. The sub-catagories are:-

Fire Boats
Life Boats
Tug Boats
Naval Ships
Ocean Going Vessels
Anything Else!

Also I have started off a message board where you post not only about the hobby but anything else that may be of interest.

The "Understand Electronics" section does exactly as it says on the tin, if there is something that is not right or should be added contact me and I'll soon update it.

Lastly take part in the Find Bob Competition!

Don,

Please be aware that this website only exceeds its bandwidth if too many people access it. It only shuts down for a short while. :D

You couldn't see the picture as it too gets loaded from the site.

Thanks,
Stephen

It worked for me. I'd be interested to see info with respect to fire monitors - what is being used for pumps, etc.
Good luck with the site -

Perhaps you can host some of the images on Image Shack, and then post them to your site. That way the site uses less bandwidth. Or post some images here so we can at least see the boats, and ask questions.

I can't get to the site either.

Hi all, sorry about bandwidth problem, :(

mike_victoriaBC, I will see about putting some information on fire monitors and pumps. The pumps are more commonly than not windscreen washer pumps, although their 12v they work fine down to 6v. The fire monitors I have seen for sale as part of a Fireboat fittings kit somewhere on the net, I'll try and find it again. If you want working fire monitors its more tricky, there are a few on the market but they don't look like the original.

Umi_Ryuzuki, good idea, will look into it.

Don Brown, thanks, glad you got on at last. :D

Hi Umi - I know your monitors are there but I don't have the casting capability with those units you have made. I was curious to see some others -

Well if the wax I ordered would come in, I could try casting these "en masse"
