Just got a 20-20L for the Lee Ulinger Foamtana. I ordered the 20-22L but they sent the wrong motor. Think the 20-20 will work as good? The specs looks like it won't make much difference.

Foamaholic,
The main difference between the A20-20L and the A20-22L is that the 22L draws less current allowing for a longer run time. The 20L will provide more power but you will be giving up some run time for that.
Both would work fine on that plane, and I would personally recommend the A20-20L.

Thanks Kyna, then I won't worry.

The hotter motor( the one you have) will give better efficiency at part throttle.

I have a plane with four GWS DF55-300H fan sets in it, with motors and ESCs hooked up in parallel.
I would like to use a 3S 3700 Li Poly battery in it, but the GWS 300H motors will not handle the higher voltage. Is there a suitable "Drop in" Hacker BL motor which will do the job and what Amp brushless ESC would go with it.? Info would be much appreciated.
Cheers. Patrick. :) :D

Patrick,
We have the perfect motor for that application, it's the E30-13L. It has a kv of 4200 on will run on 3S with no problems. You can get more information on the motor at http://www.hackerbrushless.com/motors_e30.shtml
I recommend you use the X-20 Pro esc. The X-20 Pro is a new esc that has USB programming capabilities. We will have information up on our website with in the next week. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

The main reason I go with the A20-22L is it is more than enough power and I like the extra run time I was sure I would get, but if the 20L is more efficient at partial throttle that would be great. I would like to see the current draw in flight at partial throttle.
Also If Hacker says 10X4.7 I am incline to agree these guys now their stuff.
I live in AZ and have not felt any thing below 100 degrees. :-)

I recently bought an A20-20L from NE Sail. The package that they sent was sealed and said A20-20L, but the motor was much smaller. I think that it was an A20-28 or something like that.
I called NE Sail and they had me send it back and sent me a new one. No problem.

Been flying the Lee Unlinger Edge 540 with the 20-22L with my brother and his 20-20L Foamtana and we can't tell the difference.
