Does the FMS USB simulator cable from TomRC work with clearview?

Select "Start", then "Control Panel" then "Game Controllers". I you can see the cable listed there as a game pad, it will work. Use the occasion to callibrate it, this is needed for best operation.

What happens if when I open the game control window I don't see the cable? In fact I don't see anything, however, in the system's hardware window I do see the cable listed under COM 3
Any thoughts?
This is a TTI USB cable for the Hitec OPTIC 6
thanks

If you see it listed as a com3 device then it looks like it isn't a proper USB interface but rather a PIC type interface with an inbuilt com to USB interface. Did it come with drivers that needed to be installed a standard USB interface doesn't need them.
You could try selecting the com3 port in the controller setup dialog box and see if that works. ClearView would then try it as a PIC type controller.
