Dear Henry Seller of Maryland
Congratulations on your recent winning bid for NESTOR HANGAR, Cessna Telemaster Giant Scale. Your seller, Don's Shop, has contacted us for their auction and let us know that you've both decided to O.S. BGX 35cc Engine.Let's talk a little bit about the mystery that seems to surround choice of thecorrect propeller for your model aicraft. For this O.S. engines required Master Airscrew 18 x 8 (TG2586) Wood Props., and require O.S -F glow plug. The propeller simply converts the horsepower or torque available from the engine, which produces 4.1 bHp at 9.500 rpm , into usable thrust required to drag your model trough the air.The propeller is nothing more than a peculiarly shaped rotating wing that converts blade motion in to lift.the ideal is the airfoils props produce more thrust with less noise !
The pitch of a propeller, usually expressed in inches,is the theoretical advance of the propeller as it moves forward with each revolution of the prop.
what you are seeking when you select a propeller for your aicraft is one that will use the horsepower available from your engine in the most efficient way to propel the model at the highest possible velocity.power limited full scale model must usually seek a different compromise in order to assure reasonable take-off and climb performance.....uaually a lower pitch than that wich would be best for optimum cruise or high speed.
Let's loock at the reasons why this is so...Airspeed is defined roughly by the simple equation
(RPM) x (Propeller Pitch) x .0007 = AS....The .0007 is a coversion number required to change
inches/minute to miles/hour , plus an efficiency factor which is assumed to be about 73% , is for the Cessna Telemaster. If you are acrobatic beginner, you can fly a Cessna Telemaster on high acrobatic performance,,The experience was barely believable, so you repeated it , time and time again.....

We set the trasnmitter onto the runway, and stood watching with our hands in our pockets..The Cessna Telemaster ..liftedoff,climbed into a slight stall condition, dropped its nose, entered level flight ,and began large slowcircles, completely unattended by Pilot ! !
