I've seen the Swift threads growing, so I thought I would start a setup thread for people to compare to.
Please post you past Swift setup's, current setups and future (my-wife-will-not-find-out) setup's. :)

I am currently assembling my Swift, and was planning an almost identical setup to yours, but using 6s2p 4000mah.
Have you been happy with it so far? Anything you are thinking of trying differently?
Thanks

Is 6s lipo better than 7s emoli?

Is 6s lipo better than 7s emoli?
Gary would be the best person to ask that question.
I 'believe' that a 7S1P Emoli pack (running 9T pinion) is roughly equivalent to a ThunderPower Prolite 6S2P 4200 lipo but I may be wrong.
The reason why I bought the Emoli packs is strickly price $.
I paid $170 shipped for 2 7S1P Emoli packs from Ebay. Add the shrink wrap, TP 4 and 6-pin taps, wire, time.. it comes out to just over $100 per pack.
Compare the $100 Emoli pack to the $300+ TP pack and well.. do the math :D
I can't compare because I don't have first hand experience with the larger TP packs but there are posts on the century swift build/power threads.
The 3750 6S2P lipo that comes with the power combo is not equal to a 7S emoli pack and I have read people running the standard 11T pinion with that.

is anyone using the hacker motors in the swift?
i have access to both a c50 19xl 20xl and 15xl and i was wondering wht would be the best to go with? i plan on emolis and can build anywhere from a 5s to a 7s depending on the motor and pinon i go with.
which would provide the best performance and longest flight times?

Comments:My Swift was an early one. Now have the upgrades, but not installed yet. Thanks Century. As stable as they get, just as good as my Rap50 (slimer). I love to fly it around my yard (1 acre lot in cleared farmland--not too many trees) and no engine noise to scare the neighbor's horse. Come to think of it, the horse didn't mind the rap either.

Swift 16 ARF - Stock:
Motor: Neu 1907/1.5 & Century 600A+ (1100KV)
ESC: CC 85A, Century 55A ESC and Century 80A
Flown with 9T,10T,11T
Batteries used that worked relatively well, past and present:
Century 4S/3300/20C
Flight Power 4S/3700/3700, ditto in 5S and ditto in 6S
Servos: Futaba S-3151
RX: Futaba FASST and Futaba 149DP
Gyro: Futaba GY-401/9254
Preferred blades:
Stock woodies for most flying except hard 3D at rotor speeds in excess of 1800
FK530mm & 550mm fully symmetrical
Sab 550 symmetrical
Rotor Tech 515, 550 and 560 symmetrical
Rotor speeds used:
1400 to 2200.
Flybar paddles:
Stock, Hawk Pro, Rappy Greens, K&S 3D, MinAir 3D Whites, Rotor-Tech 3D
Swift 550SE
Motor:Century 600A+

Rotor Speeds: 2000 to 2200
Paddles: Rotor Tech 3D
Tail rotor: CN2236
Tail rotor blades: 80mm C/F
As you can see, I used the Swift 16 as an experimental unit to try different combos, to see what I wanted on my 550SE for hard 3D as well as to find what I would want for a scale project to come..

Resurrecting this thread again, since the data is still relevant.
Swift 16 #1:
Motor - Neu 1910h 1y (1050kv) 10t pinion
ESC - Kontronik Jazz 55-10-32, CC 10a BEC
Servo - Hitec 6965
Tail Servo - Futaba 9254
Gyro - Futaba gy401
Battery - FlightPower evo25 6s1p 4900mah
TX - Spektrum DX6i
RX - AR6200
Blades - 555mm MAH, 550mm MS Composit, 75mm tails, K&S paddles
Misc. 3rd bearing, metal head & tail and other bits, battery tray mod with magnetized windshield for easy access (and crashes if the pack isn't secured properly while inverted), T-Rex 600 landing gear
2100rpm headspeed with this setup, but the 4900mah pack is 742 grams, which limits its throw-around agility some. I intend to go flybarless with the Sk360 and different, lower profile head.
Swift 16 #2:
this one is intended to become a scale project
Motor - Kontronik Tango 45-08 (800kv) 10t pinion
ESC - Kontronik Jazz 55-10-32, 3A UBEC
Servos - Hitec 5625mg
Tail Servo - Futaba 9254
Gyro - Futaba gy401
Battery - FlightPower evo25 6s 4900mah
TX - Spektrum DX6i
RX - AR7000
Blades - 550mm MS Composit, 75mm tails, covered oem paddles
Misc. - MicroHeli cnc tail, battery tray mod and magnetized windshield, T-Rex 600 landing gear
A 620 tailboom and belt, and some fiberglass 600mm blades are awaiting installation. I also intend to use the Sk360 to make it flybarless and eventually wear a .50-size fiberglass Airwolf fuselage.
